Qualifying for Cybercentre Status
For a location to be designated as an MSC Malaysia Cybercentre, it must meet specific infrastructure requirements including high-speed broadband connectivity, modern physical facilities, and a critical mass of MSC-status companies. The designation is awarded by MDEC following an assessment process.
Companies located within designated Cybercities and Cybercentres are eligible to apply for MSC Malaysia status — now rebranded as Malaysia Digital (MD) status — and access the associated tax incentives, intellectual property protections, and regulatory benefits of the programme. For more information on company eligibility, see the MSC Malaysia Company Directory.
